Welcome back after Easter.
There are only 4 weeks and then we break up for Half-term on Friday May 24th.
Playscheme booking forms are now available.
Safeguarding
Please let us know by telephone if your child is absent from school and should be with us.
Contact information should always be up to date so that we can contact you in an emergency.
If your child attends an after school club at MDJS – we need to know!
Policy of the Month
Updating policies is an ongoing process and they can be viewed anytime upon request.

You need to let us know if you still require care in September as soon as possible.
We will be asking, so please have your response ready.

Reminder – Safety Issue
- We open at 7:45 am – and this is when we are staffed to the correct numbers to accommodate children safely. The doors will not be opened before this time. We appreciate it may become crowded in the entrance but we are not insured to open any earlier.
- It is important that the children are booked in safely and this takes time so we ask you to be patient. We also require you to escort your child/children into the secure area and that they are safely inside the childcare rooms.
Staff News and Training
Sharon White has completed her Paediatric First Aid Level 3 – well done Sharon.
Joanne Starkey has completed her Designated Safeguarding Lead Training – Well done Jo.
Vanessa has completed her Early Help training – Well done Ness.
New collection point at MDJS
Please remind your child that they must now meet in the ‘Top Classroom’ and not in the small hall.
The children will be reminded by their teachers at Michael Drayton but it will help if you do too.
This will be a quieter and safer meeting point and out of the way of people running clubs after school.

School Trips/Organised after school functions
Please advise us if your child is attending any of these as we need to amend our registers.
An awful lot of time is spent looking for children that are meant to be with us and unfortunately everyone has to wait at their relative school until we know where these ‘missing’ children are.
